As direct support on the tour, MANTICORA will be bringing the Swedish Avantgarde death/melodic masters of
LOCH VOSTOK: Modern progressive/aggressive. Avantgarde, yet accessible. Odd but smooth. Huge choruses, strong rhythms, tons of melody. If you’re a fan of Devin, Gojira, Emperor, Soilwork etc, this is exactly your music. LOCH VOSTOK has released 7 albums – all of them a gem on its own – and the band has toured Europe several times, as support of a.o. Therion and King Diamond.

And the opening act will be the debut’ing semi-progressive and very melodic metal act HEXED.
The HEXED debut album ”Netherworld” was released in March, 2018 and the album contains ten blistering tracks. “Netherworld” has received fantastic reviews and the band has rapidly gained a reputation of delivering a flawless and perfect live show. The opening act anyone would wish for!

New bass player announced!

After the departure of bass-player Jimmy Mattsson from LOCH VOSTOK earlier this spring, the band has acted fast on the challenge it is to lose a band-member, and have recruited the perfect replacement, namely Patrik Janson (The Murder of My Sweet, Wigelius, ex-Platitude).

Teddy Möller (vocals/guitars) confirms:
“After a long and hard search (not really) for a new bass player we decided for the infamous Patrik (Don Johnson) Janson He has been a Loch Vostok fan for many years and delivered 100% on the audition. Welcome to the band, Pat!”

New video for the track Purpose!

Hey there! We are very excited to present you with a video for the song ’Purpose’ from our latest album Strife. Track was mixed by David Castillo and visuals crafted by the ever great Martin Gustafsson. Dig, share and let us know what you think!

Jimmy has left the building

Our friend, brother and master of the bass Jimmy Mattsson has decided to leave Loch Vostok. The reasons behind his departure is between him and us at this point but we are very sorry to see him go. We had a good run for several tours and albums and we wish him nothing but the best and good luck in his further endeavours.

Here is what Jimmy has to say:

”After careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that it is not doable for me to remain a member of Loch Vostok anymore. The reasons are many but I will not go further into details at this time.

I want to thank Klingwall, Mano, Lawrence and Kupper for the good times we’ve shared, Lars & Intromental, Boss & ViciSolum and also an extra special thanks to Teddy for believing enough in an unknown kid to bring him along for the ride of his life all those years ago.

Fear not. This is not the end for me. There are already plans in motion for the future.”

“Strife” is coming!

Statement from Intromental:

Sweden’s sovereign avantgarde/melo-death act Loch Vostok have announced the worldwide release date of their seventh album “Strife”, through Vicisolum Records.
The release date will be: November 24th!

However, early birds can already on September 29th hear the single-release, which will be the song “Summer”! An excellent 4 minute tracker, which makes Mike Patton almost seem normal, but which also brings the natural Loch Vostok trademark sound into the listener’s ear.

“Strife” deals with loss on every imaginable level, the loss of life, love, monetary assets, friends and so on, but also the rebuild afterwards.

Leadsinger/guitarist, Teddy Möller tells it, as it is:

“Expect the unexpected. Djent, modern progressive, dark, gloomy, groovy, doom, black metal, pop and ridiculously heavy. Huge production. In your face/wall of sound. Songwriting in it’s most unpure form, still as catchy as the plague and as beautiful as summer rain.”

The album was recorded at Frontporch Productions, mixed by David Castillo (Katatonia, Dark Tranquility, Sepultura) and mastered by Jens Bogren (No further introduction needed), both doing a splendid job with the awesome material, in Fascination Street!
